These terms are between Bravo Lima Aviation Limited trading as AeroBase UK PPL and flying schools that have an AeroBase school account. Using the school page means you accept them. They sit alongside our privacy notice and terms.
Who is responsible for what
Bravo Lima Aviation Limited, trading as AeroBase UK PPL (company number 15993361), is the controller of the data in AeroBase. When your school views and uses a linked student’s progress, your school is a separate, independent controller for that use. Each of us is responsible for following data protection law for our own part.
What you can see
For each student linked to your school (because they entered your code or accepted your invitation), you see: their name and email; membership status; when they joined and last logged in; how much of the presentations they’ve seen and when they last studied; their question bank results; their weakest topics; and their certificates. You don’t see their answers, their questions to instructors, their sharing-alert data or any payment details.
How you may use it
- Use it only to support that student’s flight training, for example to see how ready they are for exams or to plan a briefing.
- Don’t pass it on to anyone outside the school, and don’t use it for marketing.
- Let only staff who need it (instructors and training managers) see it. Keep your school login secure and don’t share it.
- If you copy any of it into your own records, you’re responsible for it under your own policies and retention periods.
- If a student unlinks themselves, or you unlink them, you’ll stop seeing their progress. Don’t try to get it another way.
Problems and requests
- Tell us at admin@aerobase.uk without delay if you think a student’s data has been lost, misused or seen by someone who shouldn’t have seen it.
- Deal with requests from students about data your school holds. Pass requests about AeroBase’s data on to us.
Branding
If your school has branding switched on, linked students see your logo and colours on their member pages, with “Powered by AeroBase”. Please only give us a logo you’re allowed to use.
